We are technical architects and interior designers based in Ibiza. Small by conviction: the same people take every project from start to finish, and it shows in the result.
Manifesto
Few materials, plenty of light
We care about architecture that ages well. The kind that needs no explanation. We work with a short palette of honest materials, lime, timber and stone, and let the Mediterranean light do the rest.
We believe a good space shows in everyday life: in how the sun comes in each morning, where you leave your keys, the temperature of a wall to the touch. We design at that scale, whether it is the renovation of a house, the interior of a shop or the management of a build.
Who is behind it
Karla Mendoza
Building Engineer · Founder and director of Kamay
Karla is the head and hands of Kamay. A building engineer, she runs every project personally: she is the one who listens to you on the first visit, draws the proposal, handles the permit and walks the site every week until handover.
Her way of working is the studio’s: a few things, done well. Honest materials, decisions that are explained and a single point of contact from start to finish. She works with clients in Spanish and English.

How we work
Four stages, one team
- 01
Listen
We start by understanding how you live, what you need and what your budget is. Without that, there is no project.
- 02
Draw
We develop several proposals and review them with you. Sketches, plans and visuals so you can decide with confidence.
- 03
Define
Construction drawings, materials, quantities and a fixed budget. Permits and paperwork included.
- 04
Build
Site management and weekly follow-up. We coordinate the trades and keep quality, timing and costs under control.

Professionals who know Ibiza
We are technical architects (in Spain, aparejadores) and interior designers working from Ibiza, Spain. We know the planning regulations of each municipality, real permit timescales, the protections on rural land and the island’s suppliers and tradespeople. That lets us promise only what we can deliver.
We design and build in Eivissa (Ibiza Town), Santa Eulària des Riu, Sant Antoni de Portmany, Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Sant Joan de Labritja, Formentera.
