Common questions about technical reports and certificates in Ibiza
How long does a habitability certificate take in Ibiza?
If the property meets the requirements, the visit and the technical certificate are ready within a few days. Issuing the cédula itself is done by the Consell d’Eivissa and can take several more weeks; we keep you updated on current timescales.
Do I need an energy certificate to rent out my property?
Yes. Since 2013 a registered energy performance certificate has been compulsory to sell or rent any home or commercial property, including holiday lets.
How do I correct my property’s details in the Catastro?
When the actual floor area, use or layout does not match the Catastro, we prepare the drawings and technical documents and file the amendment. This is common before a sale, an inheritance or a legalisation.
